Sussex Heart Charity - Community Heart Care - Site Rebuild
Specification
The Sussex Heart Charity have been involved since 1987 in cardiac related funding on the following: purchasing equipment, funding education and research, promoting resuscitation in the community and supporting the cardiac rehabilitation service for those with heart disease.
Over 100,000 members of the public have resuscitation training via Heartguard instructors over the past 20 years.
The existing site was in need of a complete overhaul, Code7 redesigned and rewrote the entire site giving a more professional feel and intuitive navigation systems enabling users to find information and importantly, make donations, quickly and easily. The donations page using WorldPay is a new feature, as is the mailing list enabling Sussex Heart charity to inform their subscribers of events / volunteering and latest news.

100 Days of Horror - Lionsgate Microsite
Specification
Microsite to promote the release of 'Drag me to Hell' on DVD and Lionsgate's 'Fright Club' online membership programme
Users sent to the site via poster and mobile campaigns, upon registering are entered into the 100days of horror competition, they also have a chance to win a saw6 poster if they recommend a friend who subsequently signs up, this is all monitored with an secure online stats systems enabling Lionsgate to pick winners and successful referrals.
The site has a prizes calendar that updates every day at midnight enabling users to see what day of the contest is current.

Frontier Karate Association needed a fast, high quality and professional site to advertise their services, this project stipulated a fast turnaround and strict budget, as well as needing a content management system to enable Frontier to update the site themselves, especially the news section.
This site was built using Joomla giving it huge flexibly for future upgrades and will become part of the forthcoming Code7 modular CMS solution pack, the site content can easily be updated by frontier at any time and Code7 can add any of the plethora of features that Joomla has to offer when needed.

Jane Wrin - Photography CMS / Flickr Feeds
Specification
Jane Wrin needed a fast, high quality and professional site to showcase her photography and sell prints, this project stipulated a fast turnaround and strict budget, as well as needing a content management system to enable Jane to update the site content.
This site was built using Joomla giving it huge flexibly for future upgrades and will become part of the forthcoming Code7 modular CMS solution pack, as Jane already uses Flickr to manage her photos the site simply pulls the photos in to the relevant sections from the named Photosets, meaning Jane just needs to manage her Flickr account as usual and the site will update automatically, the prices are fixed for each print with 3 size / price options, and uses the PayPal 'buy it now button' system.
The site content can easily be updated by Jane at any time and Code7 can add any of the plethora of features that Joomla has to offer when needed.

Caravan Searcher - XML Feeds
Specification
This popular and busy site (built by the client using Joomla) required a way to import live XML feeds from a number of url locations into the Joomla database that would update every 24 hours. This enables the site to update their caravan listings from feeds supplied by caravan parks.
We matched up the feed information to the relevant database fields, then used PHP to interpret the XML feed text and insert into the correct My SQL tables, this runs every 24 hours, and either updates existing listings, or inserts the new ones.
The site currently uses Joomla v1.0 but will soon be ported to v1.5, we will then be redesigning the feeds and helping with the database migration.

The Bookroom Art Press - Numbered Limited Edition Giclée Art Prints
Specification
The Bookroom Art Press specialises in the printing and sale of high quality reproduction prints to the public and trade. An existing site has been in place for some time but needed a rework on the design, as well the shopping experience. Previously new products were entered via ModX CMS but Code7 was asked to do these updates as a fair degree of web skills were needed to implement them.
Working with Ai-Em (with development experience at eBay) we have created a very bespoke and easy to use admin section for The Bookroom Art Press; artists and their biographies, as well as books and prints with framing options can all be added via an intuitive and secure back end system. Thumbnails and pop up images are created automatically, and the site will scale easily as new products are added. If you would like to see a demo of this please contact us to arrange.
The payments are still handled by PayPal but with the shopping cart side on the site, resulting in a much smoother operation. We worked very closely with Darion to finalise the designs of the site as he knew exactly what he wanted and we were able to match this on screen.

Frontier property is based in Brighton and Hove but has been also been involved in projects in Bromley, Kent and Hastings. They needed a fast, high quality and professional site to advertise their services, this project stipulated a fast turnaround and strict budget.
Based on a bespoke layout used by Code7 on other similar projects for speed and low cost, we also added a JavaScript photo gallery on two of the pages to showcase letting's and developments.

Podi - Podiatrist Software Provider
Specification
The site layout and designs were provided by XL Design in Worthing, this was a last minute requirement and given to us on Friday afternoon, with a deadline of Monday to coincide with an exhibition, as we had all the content and the designs in provided in Photoshop files we completed it by Saturday, enabling any small client changes on Sunday.

Red Carpet Register - Personal Outfit Registration for Events
Specification
Erin needed a complete solution for her online business venture offering users the ability to claim their individual outfits for events, they also needed a way to manage events and make updates to both their outfits and events. As Erin was not sure of the best technologies or exact method to achieve this initially, we talked her through the various possibilities and together we came up with a site layout and functionality that achieved her goals within budget. Additional features can be built in at a later date as and when required.
The site is mainly driven by a database of user generated content, a registration system with an email validity checker, once logged in extra links to an outfit and event registration page are available, JavaScript powered pop up photo gallery for outfits as well as user admin section for tracking site registrations.

CC-M - Construction Industry Management Database
Specification
Construction management company required a bespoke client and job management system, the system needed to manage clients, produce estimates, assign contractors to relative parts of the job, manage the contractors and payments, as well as invoicing management.
We built an online password protected system, negating the need to install any software and the associated problems, and following the 'Software as a service' model. To keep costs within a specific budget the system was built with only basic styling and simple database requests.

Commodity Search Partners - Executive Search Firm for Commodity Markets
Specification
CommoditySP have expanded rapidly offering new functions to their business, the site was originally built in Joomla, but, with the design needing an overhaul and the Content Management being carried out by Code7, it was re-built and hand coded in XHTML / CSS.
New elements were added to make the site feel more dynamic and three-dimensional including a Mac Style Dock menu system powered by JavaScript, a live Oil Price feed widget as well as the existing Image Transitions, there is also a small database containing the testimonials enabling a random display and 'read more snippets..' on every page. Multiple contact forms are contained on one page with a JavaScript Accordion along with a flash animation in the banner.

Activatem.com - Sports Activities Search Database
Specification
A gap in the market for a dedicated site to find sports activities, this site was born form the project initiators trying to find sports activities for their children. Concept for searches sourced from other search sites in different markets, design layout provided by Code 7.
Front end search result are displayed with Ajax, meaning the information is displayed dynamically on the same page, sports activities are divided in to headings and subcategories, with drop down lists populated with Ajax technologies.
Features include two registration forms with email checking and anti spam protection, multiple levels of access to the user site admin, enabling registered users depending on their type to update activities and profiles accordingly, back end user maintenance and user tracking, Ajax form validation.

Travel Nation - Galileo Flight Itineraries Conversion Tool
Specification
Brighton based travel agency Travel Nation who specialise in round the world flights and tickets, use the global reservation system Galileo, the system produces flight itineraries that they could easily read, but were not easily deciphered by their clients.
The text produced by Galileo holds all of the booking information – but not in a format they could email, as a result they were constantly cutting and pasting into word documents and then over typing/amending to present the info in a more customer friendly manner, using valuable business hours.
We devised a simple to use on-line application using PHP to parse the text consisting of two text boxes, one to paste the Galileo information and another that produces the text in the format required ready for pasting into an email etc.

Law Comparison - UK Legal Services Comparison
Specification
A web design project devised by a Brighton based Lawyer, combining the comparison features of website's such as MoneySupermarket, and the simplicity of the layout of Search Engines such as Google, to cover a gap in the market for a dedicated site to find and compare UK Legal services.
Features such as a Firm Registration form with email checking and anti spam protection, multiple levels of access to the user site admin, back end user maintenance and tracking, contact form enabling front end users to contact multiple selected firms with only one form, all with ease of use and an uncluttered design of paramount importance.

Web design really is Code 7's forte, though they provide hosting and have some great ideas about marketing too. I needed to find a web designer in Brighton and found Code 7 online.
I did look at other local alternatives but they were not as good value or helpful as the web designers at Code 7. They will design your website and host it and give brilliant after-sales help - I am a hard nosed lawyer by day and not easily impressed. Code 7 are professional and reasonably priced in their web design packages.

Site needed by our sister company to showcase our new fast and reliable hosting services based in the UK, logo design, company name and branding also provided by Code 7.
The site has been built in Joomla! (Open Source CMS) to enable further expansion of the site as the company grows. The core coding of Joomla was modified to allow for XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.1 standardisation.

Ellman Henderson, a long established property management company based in Hove, have had a web presence for some time but the site itself was looking dated and need replacing.

Commodity Search Partners is a new executive search firm that required a clean and professional site to match their business, with a colour scheme based on the logo and branding provided by one of Code 7's partner design agencies.
They currently have offices based in Brighton, UK, and Singapore but as they are looking to expand the company and open new international branches, a complete content management system was implemented. With the site being built in Joomla! (Open Source CMS) further expansion of the site is built in and content can be easily added and updated by Commodity Search Partners.

Tectainer (Tec Aremch Ltd) - International Containerisation Solutions
Specification
UK based international container storage and transport solutions company, Tectainer, required a complete overhaul of their existing web site, a new layout and design were provided by Code 7, modernising the look and feel and adding an interactive menu system and worldwide agents map.
A search engine and online marketing plan are now being implemented after the site build. The PDF datasheets were converted to XHTML and image layouts for better accessibility and search engine visibility.

Zeteo People - Specialist SAP Recruitment Agency
Specification
Brighton based SAP recruitment specialists, Zeteo People, required a site for both their clients and candidates and an image that would reflect their worldwide status. They also required a jobs section that they could update themselves and that users could search on. Several ideas were incorporated, such as the hide and show function for the jobs, a random selection of 5 jobs on the home page and comprehensive search options. As well as being able to update the jobs and locations in the database, ZeteoPeople also has a content management system allowing selected parts of the content to be updated.

Boho Beads Online - Online Jewellery Shop
Specification
Boho beads is an established jewellery company specialising in Indian glass beads, all their products are designed and made in house, sold in several shops and also at hosted jewellery parties. They required an ecommerce solution to enable them to display, update and sell their one-off products online. Initially they are using PayPal as a payment gateway due to no setup or monthly fees. A small flash animation is on the shop page, if the user dose not have Flash then an image will display and the shop categories are still available from the main links.
